My Summer in Europe Dreams Came True!

Alright not to be dramatic but Dubrovnik, Croatia is everything I ever wanted in this vacation. I see these amazing looking European getaways that sit right on the beautiful water and Dubrovnik was just that. A perfect little walking town situated on a mountainside where the old town was surrounded by a fortress of city walls that dropped off into the ocean. It was awesome. We got to Croatia in the early afternoon and rode a shuttle bus from the airport into town. Our bus stop was just a short walk to our airbnb. That "short walk" just happened to be up 215 stairs (yes, dad later counted how many stairs after we had to hike up and down them each day). Our airbnb was in a great area with a cute garden full of turtles and great views of old town and the water. I think that first night we just explored the city and found ourselves some dinner.

The whole city is just stairs, stairs and more stairs. And particularly the old town is just alley ways of stairs leading to the main promenade, so pretty though.

These pictures are definitely not in order, but dad going ham on his gelato

Dinner - I got chicken and fries while dad ventured out and got the octopus with vegetables. He ate the whole dang thing. I did try a bite of the tentacle... and for the record I didn't spit it out. Definitely weird, but the best part were the crispy suction cups haha.

I don't even remember what we did on what day so I'll do my best to organize the pictures, but there's a lot of them. This part of our trip was so nice because we didn't have to wake up early to try and squeeze all the activities and things to see into one or two days. We would chill at the beach, then take a nap then head back out on the town for dinner and it was just nice. I think it's what made Dubrovnik one of my fav cities, plus it's so pretty.

the next day was a beach day!! Started at Banje Beach. A very busy beach and one of the only beaches in the area. A lot of Dubrovnik is just a rocky coastline. Even this beach is just super pebbly. With old town view just behind it!

And this was our next stop... Dance. Online I found this "locals" spot. It was definitely quieter than Banje beach and it was one of our favorite spots.

See, just a rocky coastline. You really just pick a spot on the rock and hang out there, which is exactly what we did.

A great day in the hot sun and cold water!!

Dinner that night didn't disappoint - a ribeye and four cheese pizza. yum.

Found the best gelato place. Can't go wrong with dark chocolate and PB.

More beautiful pics of the city.

Oh we also definitely grabbed some yummy crepes to go this night (and on multiple other occasions). We re-finished stranger things season four while in Croatia. It was great.

Monday was our day out in the Adriatic. Cave diving in blue water caves, stopping for lunch at lopud island, cliff jumping and seeing a nudist beach.

This is giving mamma Mia vibes

This is for remembrance of the annoying Italian group of friends that were on our boat. Yes, that's a very gay man who strutted his stuff in his speedo all day long.

Such a fun day spending time in the ocean and seeing a few islands along the Croatian coast. We headed out the next morning for our next stop. Im not lying when I say this is my new favorite spot in all of Europe. Great first half of this trip with dad. Memories and photos ill forever be cherishing and looking back at.
