Memorial Day!

Always nice to have a free day from work and school. We didn't do anything crazy for our day off, but we didn't have to do anything and that's the beauty of days off. Jack received a coupon for Jamba Juice and wanted to go out and use it.  I did promise him a smoothie date, but I wasn't feeling Jamba so instead we ditched the coupon and just headed to tropical smoothie. After we grabbed our smoothies we chilled over by Dixie rock and talked about life. Good way to start off the day and "the first monday of summer 2018" as jack would say. 

We came home and jumped in the pool!

Then the usual jumping on the tramp to dry off. 

This big boy spent the day packing for brazil!  He leaves tomorrow for about 3 weeks. He'll be staying in the amazon so hopefully he doesn't get bit by a pit viper or piranha. 

Last but not least, we have recently added a new segment to our weekly family home evenings. It's something we like to call "The Hat of Fortunes." We pick out two names and then those people have to pick a piece of paper out of the hat. Some things are good, some are bad. Me and jack were the victims this week. I pulled out being tickled for 20 seconds. Jack pulled out saying the family prayer for the rest of the week.  I hate being tickled and jack did not want to pray the rest of the week, so we switched.  So these pics show seth, drew and mom ganging up on jack, holding him down and tickling the crap out of him. This hat most definitely adds some excitement to our FHE.
