Hello Hello! Alright first of all can we just talk about how drew comes home in five days! I will literally be chilling with him five days from now - thats so exciting!! This was a pretty big week - moms birthday and fathers day! Sadly I could not celebrate with them, but Im excited to party this upcoming weekend. Im grateful for my parents. They are the best - as all of you know. Im grateful for the non-stop support they give me throughout all my crazy endeavors including my education, traveling, sports and just my life decisions. I look up to them both more than they know and love them so much. Happy birthday Mom and Happy Fathers day Dad. Seriously, thank you for everything. Probably the highlight of the week was receiving a text from mom with videos of Dad and the boys dancing. Apparently her birthday request was a choreographed dance by them and Ill tell ya right now, it was awesome. Made my night. This week consisted of a lot of school and chilling... like usual.
Me and the gals saw top gun AGAIN (I'm pumped to go a fourth time once drew gets home.) and we decided we better invest in some aviators... and take some pictures haha.
We even put on the outfits...
and couldn't forget the mustaches.
We spent some evenings out playing sand volleyball and hanging out under the trees on our blanket. This picture was taken on Jesses phone through an app that randomly makes you document what your doing in the moment... and this is the beautiful picture of me in the moment. I do love chill nights like these though. This week in school was the last week of classes before finals week. Ive already taken one of my finals so this upcoming week I just have a couple final projects and a test. Im pumped to be done with my busier term of the summer. Ready to have school take a little bit of a chill pill and Im looking forward to only having one class the rest of the summer.
Free tropical smoothie with the girls.
This weekend I was also able to take a cosmetic injection course. I had the goal to get my certification somewhere down the road, but I ended up having the time to take it sooner so I jumped on the opportunity. This course reminded me a lot of when I got scuba certified - odd comparison I know, but I was nervous going into the course if Im being honest. I mean I JUST graduated. I have NO experience and Im already getting an extra certification when I haven't even used my license yet?! But its such an awesome feeling to go into something a little bit intimidating (like scuba diving) and coming out the other side with confidence and actually loving the new skill I was able to learn. So it was a two day course. Day one was mostly listening to lectures about what neurotoxins and filler are, their side effects, contraindications, where to put them and so forth. We also got to practice injection techniques on some of the fake model faces they provided. Day two was the real deal. We saw real patients from about 10am to 3pm. We got there early and reconstituted our dysport and filled the syringes of filler. My first patient was a lip filler patient... dundundunnn. Thats what I was most nervous about - lips. and actually she was the first patient of the day and I volunteered to go first because I wanted to get a lip patient out of the way haha. It went really well and honestly I love doing filler. I did plenty of normal botox injections, a brow lift, corrected a gummy smile, a couple lip fillers and I filled some marionette lines. I love filler because its honestly so satisfying. You inject it into wrinkles and it immediately smoothes them out and its awesome to see the results that fast! My second lip filler client of the day was super cool. Instead of just plumping the lip like most women want - I was able to correct some asymmetry she had in her smile. I was pretty proud of myself - not gonna lie. Anyways... Im not about to go and be this fake barbie so don't worry, but it was really fun and Im excited to have this new skill for the future. Also the RN behind my name is still insane.
Last but not least - watch out st george. Jack attack has his permit. The baby of the family isn't really a baby anymore... Good job jackie. Proud of ya.
