Alright once again a busy week... Ya know I think it's important to still make time for fun and friends and family, but right now it just really adds to the stress of things. Oh well, this weekend has been spent in st. george and Im glad to be back home hanging out with family. I just think I'll probably have to call out of work this week to give me a day to get crap done since this weekend Ive chosen to do fun things instead. Im definitely in a time of life right now where something has to be sacrificed. Whether its sleep or seeing my friends or many times it is calling out of work - but missing a day of work is both needed for mental and physical health so that's alright. I feel bad every time I leave my co-workers hanging, but I also gotta take care of myself. I can't possibly take care of others if Im not making sure I'm taken care of first. So that's my excuse. Anyways - clinic was good this week. I only have one more day left at the clinic Ive been at the last couple of months. It's time to move on, but Im not excited for all the commuting to stg clinics I will have to be doing over the next two and a half months. The funnest thing I did this week was slice open a cyst on a patients bum. Work was ok this week, I had a very emotional and physically draining patient. We've had some busy patients at work recently that make the days super long. We are also just about to open the other half of our unit that has been closed for the last 14 months due to the flood. I think we are all dreading opening the rooms because we are gonna be super super busy. Not excited, but hopefully Im full time nights soon enough so my back doesnt bother me so much at work.

I came down to st. George after work on Thursday. Friday afternoon was spent with grandma - we shared a lunch from Harmons, got a milk shake, saw dad at the temple and finished off our outing with a carwash.
The rest of Friday was spent half-marathon prepping - getting pasta factory, picking up packets at the expo and so forth. Sadly my body was not about to allow me to run a half marathon, but on the bright side I was very glad I didn't have to wake up at 3am. Gotta look at the bright side I guess. Friday night was also a good BYU game, everyone went to bed a little earlier, but Seth and Karee and I watched the game. They won 38-24.
Everyone did a really great job Saturday morning. Drew came in first of the family with a 1:23, Mandy came in at 1:29, Emma at 1:42, Mom and dad at 2:29, George ran the full marathon with a PR of 3:17 and Kyle rounded out the family with a 4:10 full marathon. I love seeing so many people while cheering on the runners - I cheered on Kev Kirk who won the half marathon, I saw old track coaches, ward members, old co-workers and people I went to high school with. We also saw a few influencers ahah. I love marathon weekend.
"If you can't be an athlete, be an athletic supporter" - that's exactly what we did. And Im still sore today from being an athletic supporter soo

Shoutout to Mom and Emma - first half marathons. Impressive that Emma dropped a time like hers after not even being a runner until she married into this crazy family. and proud of mom for signing up, training and following through even with a hurt hip. Her running was a huge and very noticeable improvement if it weren't for the dang injury. I just feel bad I made her sign up and then had to bail - maybe we'll try again next year. The rest of Saturday was spent out by the pool listening to conference, Mad pita, more conference (and maybe a nap) and hot tubbing. Oh and a little bit of homework. A good weekend and worth a little break from homework and the hustle and bustle of life. Well I think that's about it for the week. One of the best weekends of the year for multiple reasons. Now I'm going to enjoy a lazy Sunday in my pajamas listening to more conference. Talk to ya next week!
