I don't even know
Currently 3:18am and as I reflect on last week my mind draws a blank. I love working nights, but man all I do is sleep on my days off (maybe one of the reasons I love nights, but also kind of a bummer for my days off) Anyways - worked what I believe to be a decent four nights of work. It's been pretty ho hum around here bc A. nights are usually boring and B. with the residual destruction from the flood we still only have 10 rooms available on our floor. So even on our busiest of shifts we still aren't that busy.
Last week we did seem to really drop in temperature up here and snow did reach the valley. Not too bad into the valley, but I still count it. The mountains sure are pretty though. I snapped this picture as I got off shift and was headed four hours to St. George. yes, as usual I drove straight home after no sleep. I had some things to get done while in st.g such as some paperwork for school, a hair appt, looking at insurance and blah blah blah adult things. Thursday when I made it home mom was nice enough to run some errands for me and the plan was to stay up in time for Jacks xc banquet at 6pm. Well I played a dangerous game and decided to take a nap around 3pm and told mom to wake up around 5:30. Well she did wake me up but I was so dang exhausted that I slept through the banquet. Im telling ya - its worse to take naps. It really is better to just push through most of the time. Well I slept till 9pm was awake till a little after midnight then slept again till 9am. You'd think I was caught up on sleep, but being on a night shift schedule is weird because no matter what you still just want to sleep during the day.
Hair appt ✅
I went darker this time around - still getting used to it.
made it just in time to see jackies mile time trial. 4:35 - a pretty strong way to start the OFF season. Still has plenty of time to strength train and condition to hit a good PR this year. Im excited.
And lastly for Friday night - date night at longhorn. Delicious as always.
Saturday consisted of a good walk with mom, a visit to grandma's with some major puzzling (and napping) and then more napping done by me once we got home. to end the night some yummy grilled chicken and Mac salad and watching BYU lose their first game of their undefeated season. Hopefully they can get their butts back in gear for next week, but stay tuned. Sunday morning I drove back up north then took part in some more sleeping to prep for my shift tonight.
Which brings us to currently - this is me waiting for my patient to say "Im done" haha if ya know ya know. Well - fairly boring week but that's ok. Time to get back to homework. see ya.
