Wells' take on LA

Last family vacation of the summer... and yes you read that right - LA. California in general is not one of our favorite places to travel to but we had a pretty epic opportunity. But first we obviously had to visit our favorite ghetto amusement park - good ole knotts berry farms. We usually go for fall break and its never busy. We figured its just a ghetto place that is never busy but we were totally wrong. Lesson learned, don't go in the summer time. It was freaking busy and freaking hot. In the early morning we were able to ride a few of our favorites with minimal lines, but it didnt last long. 2-3 hour waits for some rides in the heat. There was even a kid who threw up in line in front of us. We still had lots of fun, but we called it around 3pm because we were so tired of waiting in lines.

Wearing masks in cali is the best!
It actually wasnt as strict as we thought it was going to be so it was ok.

spent the rest of the day at the pool and ordered some pizza.
The next day we slept in and found some random stuff to do to waste time during the day. We bowled a couple games, shopped and ate at our favorite BJ's.

probably the nicest bowling alley Ive ever been to

Lots of good food and three pazookie's later
Next stop was Dodger stadium. We have a guy in our ward who has season tickets. We were able to buy his tickets for this dodgers vs astros game. They were definitely pricey tickets and we knew we had pretty good seats but we had no clue what we were getting in to. Dad was in heaven. We got there a couple hours early to soak in all the goodness. As we were walking down to our seats the lady who let us into the preferred area told us about all the benefits that came along with our seats. We had access to the VIP club that had nice restrooms, a super boujee buffet with salmon, salad, ceviche, potatoes etc., and unlimited nachos, ice cream, drinks, chips, peanuts and more. We also had a waitress that would come to our seats and we could order anything and everything we wanted - which we did. Too many dodger dogs ill tell ya that. We honestly got the royal treatment and we were living the dream. Did I also mention we were three rows from the field with cushioned seats and a table in front of us. The boys seats were right off third base and me and mom had seats the next section down. It was awesome.

Dad wanted tickets to this specific game because of the beef these two teams have with each other. Holy crap. Those LA fans HATE anyone and anything associated with the astros. Anytime a houston player would step out on the field the whole stadium would start booing. Some nasty words were being said and fans would throw these inflatable astros trash cans onto the field. It definitely got old and I wish people would grow up and be nice, but I guess that doesn't happen in sports. Still fun. Astros ended up winning
3-0. The next day we drove home and stopped in Vegas for some shopping. Thanks mom and dad for a good time. We love ya.

I got this picture of seth on the way down to california and he got this one of me coming home haha.

This picture kills me

Jacks first cross country race!! Pineview relays. Crazy to think Jack is already running for the high school team. Where did the time freaking go?!

Woke up at 3:50am to drop dad and some buddies off at the top of west rim. I then drove down to the canyon and got to bike around for a little bit. Zion never gets old.

Breakfast at oscars - another favorite.

Seth, jack and the hendrix fam have been going to laser mania throughout the summer and gathering tickets. Well they just cashed in their 11,000 tickets (enough to buy a kindle) and bought a whole ton of junk. This air gun, 5 bob ross dolls, gamer sweat bands for your thumbs, candy, nunchucks, massage roller and so much other crap I cant think of. At least they know the value of saving money??

Last but not least the cole's stopped in for a visit!! Ive missed these kids more than I can say. It has been a year since seeing them last and they are getting so dang big.

Love these crazy kiddos. Life is still just dandy. Ive been able to work a little bit over the past couple weeks which has been nice. We also all got vaccinated this week and our arms are finally not sore. Jack and Seth started school and Im moving up on friday! Woohoo Im ready to get this semester started!
