Back and better than ever, baby

Its the truth. I am back in provo to start my third semester of school and Im loving it. I realized this is my fourth semester in a row living somewhere new... st.george, riverton, the axis apartments and now the branbury. So far so good at the branbury. No major complaints, no mental breakdowns, no wanting to kill my roommates so I'd count that as a dang success. Honestly, I love my roommates. It has been so fun moving in with friends. Im already 10x closer to them than I was last week. We do pretty much everything together... church, church activities, hanging with other friends, doing homework and so forth. We'll see how long it takes before they start driving me completely crazy haha.

Us making our way to ward prayer. I love not having to worry about the whole awkward dating situation in ysa wards - game changer. It is super fun though to be a wing woman or to rescue a fellow friend from a creepy guy. yikes.

Monday night was FHE. Six wards combined for a dance party right outside our building. Pretty lit for being an FHE activity. This was our squad.

Rock climbing up rock canyon. Freaking pretty and we even hiked past a herd of mountain goats. So school started on Monday for UVU and SLCC, but I only have classes on thursdays so while my friends were at school M,T and W I was bored at home all day. Doing anything I could to waste time. Lots of exercising, cleaning, meal prepping, reading/listening to talks and scriptures, doing sudoku, journaling and honestly my favorite past time has been watching The Chosen. I am not bragging in any sort of way but I aint lying right now Im doing really well when it comes to my testimony. Ya know how some times in life you are just for some reason more motivated to do good things - well I feel like thats me. Ive been way more motivated to spend my time doing things that matter instead of wasting time on my phone. I am super grateful for the time Ive had and I sure hope I can keep up these habits now that Im about to get busy with school. BUT guys The Chosen is sooo good. Family - watch it. now.

And now on to today... First day of SCHOOL! FINALLY! I think my roommates are sick of how much they've heard me say "Im so excited for school to start!" but its true. First off, I finally have things to do and won't be so bored. Second off, I freaking love school and learning. Its dope. And I graduate in nine months! NINE MONTHS and then I'm a NURSE. like a legit nurse. Im pumped. Anyways today was syllabus day - blahg. but thats ok because Ive already gotten started on homework that isn't due till sept. 21st haha. I told you - Ive been bored. I have my maternal/newborn/pediatrics class from 10-12 and then my MedsurgII class from 2-4. So not to bad of a schedule. I will also be starting lab next tuesday and clinical in a few mondays. And lots of homework in between, but Im ready for it. After school I did some homework and then went to Institute!!

Me and Ash pulling up to Brother Butler's class in style. This semester we are attending a class all about the parables of jesus. SO GOOD. (wow so many caps in this blog) I could go into a lot of detail of how awesome our lesson was, but the overall take away was Jesus is an "unexpected jesus." We don't know a lot of things. A lot of the time we are here wondering why certain things have happened to us. The important thing to know is no matter what Christ has us. It may not be in the way we expected, but its the way its supposed to be. Im very happy to be back in school and surprisingly to be back in provo.
