Wells... ELDER Wells

Drew was officially set apart as an Elder on Tuesday night. He was supposed to be in the Mexico MTC right now, but instead he has moved down to the basement where he completes his MTC online. He has a companion, elder stewart, who he studies with as well as zoom classes 6-7 hours a day. Drew says its been hard especially living at home, but he is enjoying it and is learning a lot! It's super cool having him still be at home and to hear from him what he is learning and how he is handling everything. It's hard, but we can do hard things.

Peep jack in the window.

Drew's set up in his room is pretty sweet. Surrounded by scriptures, the temple and missionary handbooks. His own little MTC haven downstairs, but he still gets to have good meals, mom does his laundry and he gets to exercise with family and other elder friends. One of the weirdest things is that even though he's home he still cant do things with us all the time. We were able to go shooting with a friend this week and he couldn't come or we headed up to pine valley on saturday to weed the gardena and visit grandparents, but he couldn't come because he has classes on saturday. So still kind of weird, but we have to get used to him being gone anyway so I guess its a nice way to ease into things.

So we had a pretty rad shooting lesson from one of dad's co-workers. We learned proper form and technique for shooting had guns. I enjoy shooting so this was super cool.

Saturday was our day to weed the garden. Ill be real its not our favorite thing to do, but I love going to pine valley so its still a good time. Poor little aussie has a lump on his face. Made me sad to see him like this. The dogs are getting old, but it makes me sad.

We killed quite a few rodents while up there this time around. Sethy knocked over the first rock chuck, Dad hit the second, I got rid of the nasty little mouse on the glue board ( that was still struggling for its life.. until I put it in the bag) and lastly Dad blew off the head of a mole digging a hole in the yard. Pretty rad day, not gonna lie.

And last but not least... seth passed his permit test!!!

Seth drove us up to Pine valley and did pretty well. I mean we made it safely so its a win. Life's a changing here in the Wells home, but all good changes. As for me I have decided to attend nursing school at SLCC. Due to covid, classes are scheduled to be every other week so Im planning to commute until I can find a place to live and possibly some friends to live with. But everything is subject to change so who knows. Life's a little up in the air right now, but everything will work out. I just really hope school doesn't go back to full time online. That'd be rough but again we can do hard things. Looking forward to see what happens. Wish us all luck. gotta love 2020.
