Happy Thanksgiving! (in a manly voice)

Thanksgiving this week! I can hardly believe how fast this year has flown by. For FHE I got to go to the Veyo skating rink and it was fun, as always. For how ghetto it is, it never disappoints. Had a good time and we played this game where the last person to "wipeout", when the word was said, was out. So we would skate around and when wipeout was said everyone dropped to the ground as quick as possible. I think everyone left with plenty of bruises, I know I did.

Tuesday Jack participated in the Sunrise Ridge turkey trot. Rumors have it that jack want to be on the cross country team in high school. This is where it all began for me, so I would say he's on the right track (lol get it?). He didn't win but him and his buddy had a good time.

Wednesday I got work down in Mesquite with dad! Haven't been able to in awhile so it was fun to hang out down there for the day. That night I helped watch the cole kiddos. What even is my blog if it doesn't have pictures of these kids?

Thursday (Thanksgiving!!) dad woke me up at 8am and asks if I want to watch drew run the gobbler. Of course I did, so I had 2 minutes to get up and head out the door. We got there just as he was starting. I then ran the opposite way and met up with him at about mile 4ish. The first place guy, a collegiate runner, passed me and I figured drew would still be a little ways out. Well with in a couple minutes drew, in second place, comes running around the corner. I was pumped, he was crushing it. I kept up with him for about a mile until he had to do a quick out and back. I met up with him again with a half mile to go. Im proud of him for hitting a 36 minute 10K, but Im also proud of myself for keeping up with him haha. Fun little morning of races. Kale won the 5K and preston also crushed it in the 10K!

After our pre-turkey workouts we got ready and headed up to Pine Valley! I love, love, love having thanksgiving up at grandmas house. The cold snow outside, but a warm family dinner next to the fire. Is there anything better? We had an awesome dinner and I got too full. You better believe I had three servings of mashed potatoes. After dinner, I cozied up with grandmas amazing minky blanket and took a nap while the boys watched football. We had a little family dance party with fitness marshall then we broke out the pie. I was stufffffed, but guess what... I still snatched me a piece of pie. Do I regret it? nope, not at all. Love my family and the time we spend together.

Another thanksgiving come and gone. I love my family so much and Im so grateful for them. I have so much to be thankful for, and I think about it all the time actually. I am so blessed. I am thankful for the opportunities, trials and experiences Ive had that have taught me gratitude. I truly believe it is one of the most important things out there. At a devotional a few weeks ago, we spoke about gratitude. I don't remember the exact words but he said something to the point of you will never meet an unhappy grateful person. Gratitude is the key to happiness. It is everything! It just makes sense... if we are grateful for what we already have, we won't be upset if we don't receive something more. I have so much to be thankful for. To scratch the surface: i am grateful for my crazy, loving, supportive family, a beautiful town to live in, my opportunity to go to school, the most amazing friends, my ability and love of running, and most importantly my knowledge of the gospel and the happiness it brings me. Attitude of gratitude is the way to go folks. Happy thanksgiving!

Went to zion friday night in preparation for a wicked adventure... I am also grateful for this amazing earth and these beautiful creations we get to see everyday.
