Denver part 2!!!
This whole blog is literally about three days... three very busy days off work. And honestly made me more sleep deprived returning to work but thats ok!! So I got off work Thursday morning, slept some and that night was my first concert of the weekend.
Madi and I saw Zach Top and he was amazing just like he was last year. Last year we saw him open for Dierks Bentley while this year he headlined! He's a good solid country singer and I love his old school vibes.
Due to my good ole back this is how I spend the slow songs or the songs I don't know as well. It works out. Just a young soul in and old persons body. As you may have guessed it was a late night, but the next morning I was awake and running before my flight to Denver!
And almost immediately from the plane to Red Rocks!
For dad's birthday we surprised him with tickets to the Avett brothers and they did not disappoint! The venue was the coolest ive ever been to and the Avett brothers freaking owned the stage.

Happy late 50th to this guy. I think it was a blast of a night and it seems like we might be returning in summers to come. Sounds good to me...
A very fun night, but I will say - now when I listen to their songs on Spotify they just aren't as good as they are live. Pretty epic when that happens I guess. And that wraps up my two concerts in two nights. No regrets.
Saturday was a sleep in day which was much needed. Breakfast was at the Denver biscuit company then headed to the temple for some initiatories. Dinner was at a fancy burger place that Drewby loves and then just like that I was heading back to the airport to fly home and start work the next day. A quick trip, but still so fun and good to be back in Denver seeing the sibs again.
Sunday night I returned to work and Monday afternoon I woke up and ran a HOT 4 miles at 3pm. Gotta do what ya gotta do being a night nurse working in the summer I guess. Life is good. Really good. Im super happy and just straight chillin. Im still looking for jobs. I really do want to stay in the VA - I really can't imagine working with any other population at this point, so Im applying to anything relatively up my alley and pretty much anywhere remotely close to where I would want to live. We'll see what happens, but Ive also realized life aint that serious to stress about it. I have a good job right now where I make pretty dang good money, doing what I love and where I can do a lot of personal things on the clock (like blogging and reading and exercising) so Im happy. Something will come up eventually, but Im also only 27. I didn't plan on being an NP at 26 anyways so it's all good. And I think thats my only updates. Headed on another fun trip this weekend woohoo!
