Not a day over 35

Dang, well I haven't blogged since dads surgery so lets see what has happened...

This was my last big long run before I decided I hurt too bad. I have since taken my mileage down a ton and am waiting to start physical therapy next week to hopefully fix up my glutes/hipflexors/SI's or whatever else needs to be fixed. This was a good run though. 12 miles up and back down the canyon.

I then treated myself to an hour of sauna/cold plunge hoping it would help heal my muscles but I guess my body needed more than just a few minutes of cold plunging.

Since then - I think I have topped out at 6 miles a couple times and ive been extra diligent in rolling out and stretching. Ive also been trying to strengthen my glutes to the best of my ability, but I'm ready to let the professionals get me back to running.

Hung out with Drew and Emma quite a bit before they moved to Denver for the summer. Seven brothers is always the move.

Also got to spend time with Ash! Jersey Mike's by the pool is also always the move. A fun afternoon catching up and getting a tan.

Continued my tan down in St George. UV 11 is ALSO always the move haha.

Saturday morning was spent in pine valley. Felt good to be up there again. I don't remember the last time I was up in pine valley. Dad protecting the garden as always and we did quite a bit of weeding. Followed up with some Pizza and manwich for dad.

And for the grand finale of why I came to stg in the first place (other than I love it there and would rather be there all the time). Moms 50th birthday!!!

I mean who looks this good at 50?? She was sprinkled with gifts all month by dad. We had a delicious rib dinner with chocolate lovers cake on Sunday to celebrate and then chick fil a breakfast on Monday to top it all off. A bunch of her friends dropped off bundt cakes, crumbl cookies and presents on Monday. We spent the early afternoon swimming and laying out. Sadly I had to leave for work, but in good ole turning 50 fashion Mom and Dad headed into desert pain that afternoon for a back injection. gotta love getting old. I wish I had more pictures from this weekend, but instead I have a video of mom dancing in the kitchen to happy birthday by Katy Perry. OH and can't forget, dad and I cleaned the kitchen and the windows also as a little birthday present. It was a fun weekend. Mom is the best and should be celebrated everyday if we are being honest. She drives me crazy sometimes and sometimes I hang up on her bc she pisses me off over the phone and I already know she can't stand me lots of the times, but really she is just my best friend. Im grateful every day for her and how she has raised me. Here's to another 50 because we all know my parents aren't allowed to leave this earth before me or I will be unwell. Love you mom!
