Coronavirus and chill

A little life update for you 5 people out there (who I see every week anyways so really not a life update but you get it.) Well COVID-19 has taken over the world and who knows this could be my last post before the world ends... but probably not. Pretty much this pandemic hit and everyone has gone crazy. The grocery stores are practically bare. Schools, restaurants, sports and churches are closed (and everything else that involves more than 10 people gathered together). AND flights are cheaper than ever BUT its risky because there's a good chance you won't be able to get back into the country. Everyone is supposed to be practicing "social distancing" which in other words we are all locked up in our houses going somewhat crazy with no human interaction other than the people we live with. Luckily I still have a job so life isn't too crazy different, but I am starting to miss church and school. Missionaries are being sent home all over the world and people are obsessing over stocking up on toilet paper. TOILET PAPER! I get that its a necessity but I kid you not its been almost two weeks and no stores can stay stocked on TP. This pandemic has brought out the crazy in everyone. Whether it be the hoarders or the people going crazy from staying in their house all day... we are all a little crazy right now. So life right now consists of work as normal, but hours of home/online school which BLOWS! truly sucks. good thing I only have about a month left.
More positive life updates: Drew got his mission call - Billings, Montana spanish speaking leaving july 7th. I bawled my eyes out that entire night. Im super stoked for him, but seriously Im thee worst at goodbyes so I did what I do best and I cried.
A positive about this quarantine is all the wonderful family time we have. We get to do a lot of chores around the house, go on lots of hikes, and choreograph dances in the basement. Last night we recreated this viral dance video and it was epic. Like pretty sure we are thee coolest fam out there. It was definitely quality family time.

Me crying because I was laughing so hard.

A couple weekends ago I was able to travel up north and visit with some nursing advisors. I also got to party with my bestie for four days which was awesome. I slept on a little air mattress in her itty bitty room and we made it work! It was tight but it worked ahah. One night we were invited to this party in SLC at this humongous house. It was shawnees cousin who was friends with a friend of this guy who was the nephew of the owner of this house lol you confused? ya same. Anyways through multiple connections we got to chill at this guys 24k square foot home with a massive backyard, full court basketball and tennis, pool, VR room, super nice speakers all through the house and bowling alley in the basement!! it was insane! This place was creepy huge. I would seriously hate to live in a house that big, but the bowling alley was way fun. Saturday morning we also hit up the Provo temple, it was awesome as usual.

Some other things the fam has been up to: Drew's soccer team has been killing it! #1 in the region and possible state as of right now (sadly their season is cancelled freaking corona) But I did get some pics of the team at their epic game against Dixie. First time Dhills has beat Dixie on dixie turf in 8 years. Pretty awesome. This was also a fun night because 5 boys out on the field had received their mission calls that day and were waiting till after the game to open them up. We joked that thats why we won... we had the spirit with us that night lol.

Last week was spring break and I think everyone can agree that it was thee most depressing spring break EVER. Between the gloomy, rainy weather (we are grateful for rain) and being quarantined it kind of sucked. But when the sun was out we took advantage of our beautiful city and headed out on some hikes. Zion overlook trail with shawnee and Red cliffs with the fam!

Oscars for lunch yumm. Our waiter brought us out a cup of caramel sauce to dip our sweet potato fries in and wow thats a game changer.

I so wish I could post the dance video on here but thats ok maybe we'll upload it to youtube and become famous. Last but not least... shawnees birthday on monday! No longer a teeny bopper. Her fam ordered benjas takeout and we chilled at her house. I count myself very lucky to have a friend like her.

Goodbye for now... more updates to come.
Stay safe and healthy out there folks.
