Doing the things...
This week I finished off another block of night shifts. I thought my body didn't get used to the schedule in just the two weeks, but these few days off ive had I go to bed around 1am and sleep in till 10 or 11 so Id say maybe I got used to it more than I thought. I had my same patients this week as I did last - which is sometimes good and sometimes bad. I was happy to have them back. Both diabetic foot infections. One patient got his whole leg amputated while my other patient just needed the foot cleaned out a couple times. The amputation patient has super bad dementia and was a little more agitated this week compared to last. Whenever I had to poke his finger to get his blood sugar he'd yell at me and tell me he was gonna punch my in the face the next time I did that to him. It was an easy three day week and working night shift starting Sunday night means I'm off by Wednesday morning. So Ive had a long break which has been nice. First item of business on Wednesday was...
